Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal yesterday said that the BNP rally in Khulna is not being obstructed by the police.
The minister came up with the claim while talking to the journalists after a program organized by Women Network in the capital’s BIAM auditorium on Saturday at noon.
The Home Minister said that those arrested by the police have warrants in their names. It is part of the responsibility of the police. Those who vandalize are brought under the law. However, there is no police obstruction at the rally. Bus service is stopped in Khulna due to the demands of bus owners. It has nothing to do with the BNP rally.
Before the meeting, he said that the Prime Minister is appreciated all over the world for empowering women. Women are working with competence and efficiency wherever they are in charge. I have seen the predominance of women in every area of the country. Women are coming forward in their own capacity.
