Sheikh Rasel day observed in Gafargaon

Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s youngest son Sheikh Russel’s 59th birthday (Rasel Day) was observed in Gafargaon upazila on Tuesday. .
On this occasion a rally was held in the municipal area under the initiative of Upazila administration and Information and Communication Department. At the end of the rally a prayer and discussion meeting was held at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium.
Gafargaon Upazila Parishad Chairman Ashraf Uddin Badal, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Yasin Khandkar, Female Vice Chairman Reshma Akhtar, Gafargaon Thana Officer Incharge Md Farooq Ahmed, OC (Investigation) Md Anwar Hossain, freedom fighter Salim Ullah Mustafa and others spoke in the discussion meeting under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Abidur Rahman.
Besides, painting competition, present speech, discussion meeting and prayers are held in every educational institution of the upazila.
