HC rules on legality of govt reformed trustee board of Manarat University

The High Court has questioned the legality of the government action for reconstituting the Board of Trustees of Manarat International University.
The court issued a rule asking the government to explain in four weeks as to why its action to reconstitute the Board of Trustees of Manarat international University
Bangladesh Bank remained silent.
These facts have surfaced in the separate investigation report of a high-powered committee formed on the orders of the High Court to identify the cause and responsible persons behind this unprecedented irregularity. Two reports totaling 1200 pages have already been submitted to the central bank Governor.
