Bangladesh take on Pakistan in opener today

Bangladesh Cricket team will take on Pakistan Cricket team in the opening match of the Tri-nation series at Hagley Oval in Christchurch of New Zealand today. The match will begin at 8.00am (Bangladesh Standard Time). Private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live. All the matches of the tri-nation series will be held in Twenty20 International (T20I) format. The other team of the tri-nation series are New Zealand.
Before today’s match, Bangladesh faced Pakistan in 16 T20I matches. Of them, Bangladesh recorded two victories, while Pakistan won 13 games and one match ended without result.
Meanwhile, ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan joined the Bangladesh squad. He was busy at West Indies as he took part in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). He played for Jamaica Amazon Warriors.
Promising all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz said, ” I have got a chance to open the innings of Bangladesh. I am trying to play a better brand of cricket. I am enjoying my role. All of my teammates gave me a good support. Everybody are very confident about me. I am also confident. Now I am waiting for show a good batting display.”
Miraz said, ” Before the T20 World Cup, we have got an opportunity to play a tri-nation series. As Pakistan played well in the recently concluded T20 Asia Cup and we shall play in the grounds of New Zealand, so, it is a great chance for us to play against the two stronger teams. If we can play good cricket here, our confidence level will be high for the T20 World Cup in Australia.”
He said, ” We have taken a good preparation. The bowlers bowled well in the practice sessions and the batters also batted good in the net session.

Bangladesh squad : Shakib Al Hasan (Captain), Nurul Hasan (Wicketkeeper), Nasum Ahmed, Taskin Ahmed, Litton Das, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Afif Hossain, Ebadot Hossain, Mosaddek Hossain, Hasan Mahmud and Mustafizur Rahman.
Pakistan squad : Mohammad Rizwan (Wicketkeeper), Babar Azam (Captain), Shan Masood, Iftikhar Ahmed, Haider Ali, Asif Ali, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Wasim Jr and Haris Rauf.
