Nursing based on social welfare : Mohiuddin

Chairman of Mukhtijudder Bijoy Mela Parishad and President of Chittagong City Awami League ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury said nursing is a social oriented welfare profession and the nurses are the technicians for building human being since birth of a human body.
He disclosed it while addressing the Nursing students rally at Laldighi Maidan in city on Sunday evening as chief guest. He also said nurse at first receive a patient in hospital before his treatment by physicians later. He said nursing profession is a social-based profession rather different from other professions. He further said Prime Minister has evaluated the status of the nurse in the country by upgrading them into second class officer from class III grade. He also advised the nursing college students that there are a lot of complications in study and professional life but these should be mitigated through discussions amicably.
Civil surgeon of Chittagong Dr. Sarfaraz Khan Chowdhury was present as special guest. Principal of Chittagong Medical College Dr. Selim Jahangir in his brief address said Chittagong Nursing College is a model across the country. Among others BMA President of Ctg Unit Mujibul Hoque Khan, student Minara Begum, Anjali Devi, Rakibul Hasan, Fouzia Anar and Pinki Chowdhury spoke on the occasion.
