WCC-2015
Bangladesh has been placed in Group A of the 11th World Cup Cricket Championship 2015 to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand. These two Oceania countries hosted for the first time in 1992 won by Pakistan. They will do it for the second time.
The other nations in the same group are Afghanistan, co-hosts Australia and New Zealand,, England, Scotland and Sri Lanka. As regards the prospect of Bangladesh team in the competition, Australia, England, New Zealand and Sri Lanka are stronger on paper, and Bangladesh are outsiders..
If our players are determined to cruise into the quarterfinals, they should beat both Afghanistan and Scotland and a third nation, which is hard but not impossible. Admittedly, anything can happen in sports and the players must play their best to achieve it.
From Group ‘A’, India, Pakistan, South Africa and West Indies are favourites, while Ireland, UAE and Zimbabwe are not even outsiders.
Anyway, Cricket is always a different ball-game. We should not forget that.

Linked to single origin
Israel’s latest decision of Jewish identity and Indian government’s thought of declaring ‘Geeta’ as the national book are linked to single origin. Of the total population in Israel, 27.3 percents are Muslims, and in India, 20 percents of total population, are Muslims. Naturally, the Muslim population can feel insecure. The governments of India and Israel must give the Muslims security of their religion, life and property.
