Bangladesh will face Zimbabwe in the third and last Twenty20 International (T20I) match at Harare Sports Club Ground in Zimbabwe today. The do-or-die match will begin at 5.00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time). Private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live.
Zimbabwe beat Bangladesh by 17 runs in the first T20I on July 30 at the same venue.
Bangladesh took a sweet revenge over Zimbabwe to level the series 1-1 with Zimbabwe after thrashing the hosts by seven wickets in the second T20I on July 31 at the same venue.
The winning team of the today’s match will clinch the three-match T20I series.
Bangladesh have a bad news is their in-form batsman and wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan has been ruled out from Zimbabwe series due to his finger injury. Besides, Captain Nurul Hasan could not lead his team in the third, last and final T20I. Mosaddek Hossain will lead Bangladesh in the last T20I match.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has included experienced Mahmudullah Riyad in the T20I squad for the last T20I match against Zimbabwe.
Before today’s match, Bangladesh faced Zimbabwe in 18 T20I matches. Of them, Bangladesh registered 12 victories, while Zimbabwe won six games.
Mosaddek Hossain of Bangladesh was adjudged the Man of the Match of the second T20I match against Zimbabwe. He bowled extremely well and finished his superb spell as 4-0-20-5.
After the match, Mosaddek Hossain said, “We are hopeful that we can win the third game too to win the series,”
He said, “When I bowled, I didn’t think that I am a part time bowler, rather I love to deem myself as regular bowler. When the captain gave me the ball in the second game, I was just thinking to tie them down and be as economical as I can be. That worked well as they charged me and gave the wickets.”
