Farooque’s wife dispels death rumours of the actor

Noted actor and the Member of the Parliament Akbar Hossain Pathan Farooque has been undergoing treatment at Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital, since March 8, 2021. Rumours of the actor’s death circulated on the social media
earlier yesterday morning. However, his family informed that the actor’s condition is stable. His wife Farhana Pathan said, “Your Mia bhai is fine and healthy.”
She also asked for prayers from Farooque’s fans and well-wishers.
This is not the first time that death rumours about the actor have been circulated. Last year,
on April 8, the news were going around on the social media,
however, his family dispelled the rumours. Farooque made his acting debut with H Akbar’s Jolchhobi.
He won the National Film Award for the Best Supporting Actor in 1975. He was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016. Some of his notable works are: Sareng Bou, Lathial, Sujon Shokhi, Noyonmoni, Mia Bhai, Golapi Ekhon Train E, Shaheb, Abar Tora Manush Ho, Alor Michhil, Din Jay Kotha Thake, Shokhi Tumi Kar,

among others.
