The second meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Finance was held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Sunday highlighting the need for making the accounting and financial reporting system more transparent, modern and effective to enhance accountability, efficiency and effectiveness in public financial management. Finance Minister and committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, MP; Chief Whip Md Nurul Islam Moni, MP; Md Jalal Uddin, MP; Moinul Islam Khan, MP; Md Shahadat Hossain, MP; Md Saiful Alam, MP; Syed Zainul Abedin, MP; and Md Abul Hasnat, MP, attended the meeting.
