31 foreigners held in city for overstay

Detectives in a drive arrested 31 foreign nationals from different parts of the city on Thursday night for overstay in the country. Acting on secret information, a team of Detective Branch (DB) of police conducted a drive simultaneously in Uttara and Gulshan areas of the capital and arrested the foreigners for staying in the country exceeding their time limit illegally, said Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (Media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police. Details of the arrestees would be informed later at a press briefing of the DB, he added. – UNB, Dhaka
