Proton X50 coming soon

To meet the growing local demand for compact crossover SUVs, Proton finally joins the race with Honda’s Vezel, Toyota’s C-HR and Haval Jolion with its new model of Proton X50.
Though the car has not been launched officially yet, the carmaker’s local partner PHP automobiles have already imported a few units which are currently waiting for approval from the Chittagong port authorities, according to industry insiders.
A few weeks ago, we reviewed the X70 model, which is bigger, more expensive and is assembled in Bangladesh. It is still unclear whether the X50 will be assembled here as well or not, as no official announcement has yet been made.
Exterior
The front grille has been redesigned from the previous models with an evolution of the “Infinite Weave” first seen on the X70, which has been subsequently reimagined for the Persona and Saga models sees a far more three-dimensional effort in the X50.
Proton says the rear of the X50 aims to give a confident final salute. The key features of the rear fascia include stylish taillights, with flowing graphics on the insides, a neat feature to have in a car of this range.
The exterior of the car looks much sportier than its competitors but I personally think its Haval counterpart did a way better job with the designs. The X50 simply does not look as premium as the Jolion.
Interior
The X50’s cockpit is far more interesting in design compared to its exterior. It is very similar to the X70, but with fewer features.
The focal highlight of the flagship variant is the dual-tone contrasting colour treatment on the surfaces of the dashboard and seats.
