Swadhinata Cup Football begins November 27

The Swadhinata Cup Football will begin at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur on November 27. Usually the curtain-raiser football of the season starts through Federation Cup Football. But due to Birth Centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the Golden Jubilee of Independence of Bangladesh, this season of domestic football competition will start through Swadhinata Cup Football. The Bangladesh Football Federation will arrange the football competition.
A total of 15 teams including three services teams will take part in the Swadhinata Cup Football. They are: Bashundhara Kings, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited, Dhaka Abahani Limited, Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited, Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra, Saif Sporting Club, Chittagong Abahani Limited, Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra, Bangladesh Police Football Club, Uttar Baridhara Club, Rahmatganj MFS, Swadhinata Krira Sangha, Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Air Force.
After ending the Swadhinata Cup Football, the BFF will stage Federation Cup Football after some days. Then, the BFF will arrange the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football, the most prestigious domestic football competition of the country.
