NRBC Bank partners with BB to collect tax challan

NRBC Bank has signed an agreement with the Bangladesh Bank to collect all kind of Automated Challan System (ACS).
Under the deal, NRBC Bank can collect 645 types of VAT, Tax, passport fees and other fees through the bank’s branches, sub-branches and collection booths.
The agreement was signed by Md Forkan Hossain, General Manager of the central bank and Golam Awlia, Managing Directors and CEO of the NRBC Bank in the presence of Ahmed Jamal, Deputy Governor of the BB.
AKM Mohiuddin Azad, Executive Director of BB, Harunur Rashid Deputy Managing Director of NRBC Bank, Kazi Md Safayet Kabir, SEVP of NRBC Bank, Md Jafar Iqbal Howlader, Head of FAD, S K Perves Markar, Head of ACS operation and other senior Officials of both the organizations. Following the Government’s decision that all the commercial banks can collect revenue, NRBC Bank responded the government call as early and will be able to collect huge number of the fees.
Ahmed Jamal, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh bank said that NRBC bank is the second one who signed this agreement on ACS. As a result, tax payers and citizens can pay their Tax, VAT at and others Government fees by using the bank’s large network.
I believe that NRBC bank can achieve goodwill and trust from these services by using automated Challan System, he added. Golam Awlia, said that his bank’s services are reaching the doorsteps of the people as branches, sub-branches, booths, and other service centers are being established across the country.
The bank is receiving treasury invoices as a partner in the government’s revenue collection, he added.
Currently, NRBC Bank is collecting land registration fee, BRTA bills, DESCO bills, DPDC bills, REB bills, TITAS bills and WASA bills through the bank’s branches, sub Branches, collection booths and agent banking points.
