We thought we should play for Riyad Bhai: Shadman

Shadman Islam said, ” Every batsman has dream to notch up a century in the match. I am preparing for making a hundred and hoping that I shall get success one day. We gave our best in Zimbabwe, so, we got a good result. Our team won the Test match and we returned to our country fetching a victory. The condition of Zimbabwe was challenging. But I think we are better team than Zimbabwe team. Riyad Bhai, Taskin Bhai and Mominul Bhai made it easier for us to win against Zimbabwe.”
Shadman said, ” Riyad Bhai suddenly informed us in the dressing room that he is going to retire from Test cricket. So, we thought we should play for Riyad Bhai. He did really a good task for us. We thought we have to win for Riyad Bhai. All of us wanted to dedicate a win to him. We did it.”
The six cricketers of Bangladesh Cricket (Test) team returned to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Tuesday. The cricketers are-Mominul Haque, Shadman Islam, Saif Hassan, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Yasir Ali, and Naim Hasan.
Rest of the cricketers, who are the members of Bangladesh Cricket (ODI) team and Bangladesh Cricket (T20I) are now staying at Zimbabwe to play three ODI matches and three T20I matches against Zimbabwe.
It may be mentioned that Bangladesh posted a massive 220-run victory over Zimbabwe in their lone Test match at Harare Sports Club Ground in Zimbabwe on July 11.
Pacers Abu Jayed and Ebadot Hossain are staying in Zimbabwe to help the cricketers of Bangladesh ODI team and Bangladesh T20I team in the net session.
