BPL Football postponed
Sports Reporter :
The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football has been postponed as the country’s prime venue Bangabandhu National Stadium became unplayable due to heavy rain.
The Friday’s BPL match between Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra and Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra was not held due to inclement weather. As Bangabandhu National Stadium became muddy and rain-soaked due to heavy rain, the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has postponed the BPL for an uncertain period.
The BFF also postponed Bangladesh Championship League (BCL) due to inclement weather. The matches of BCL were scheduled to be held at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur.
The matches of BPL and BCL will be held after the grounds become playable, according to a press release of the BFF issued on Friday.
The Women’s Football League and the Third Division Football League were not held due to strict lockdown across the country.
