14 medicine shops fined in port city

Chittagong Bureau :
A mobile court on Monday fined 14 dispensaries Tk 1.25 lakh and sealed off another drug shop in the port city’s Hajari Lane for selling unapproved and date expired medicines.
 The court, led by Executive Magistrate Rakibul Hasan of Chittagong district administration, conducted drive in 25 medicine shops in the area.
The court fined Priya Medical Tk 5,000; Eastern Traders Tk 5,000; Lucky Pharmacy Tk 10,000; Shawon Enterprise Tk 10,000; Patiya Medical Centre Tk 15,000; Bangladesh Medical Enterprise Tk 10,000; Nasima Pharmacy Tk 5,000; Chittagong Medical Hall Tk 10,000; Barua Medical Tk 5,000; M/S Disharee Tk 10,000; TK Surgical Tk 5,000; M/S Hossain Corporation Tk 10,000 and Desh Medico Centre Tk 25,000.
