Alam Ara Minu returns to music in new way

Alam Ara Minu is one of the noted singers of the country. Minu rendered the legendary song titled Je matir buke ghumiye achhe lokkho mukti sena, which lyric was written by Nasima Khan and tune was composed by Selim Ashraf, that will alive for many years. There are many popular songs in her voice. She is not much publicity oriented singer. Minu is coming to the music-lovers again. According to her, she has already finished recording of three to four songs. Music videos of these songs will be made soon. Then she will release these on her self-titled YouTube channel.
While talking about her upcoming songs Alam Ara Minu said, “My last album Bondhu Hoye Jabo was released four years ago. Then I was detached from music for several years. This time I am coming with three to four new songs. Now I want to present myself in new way to the viewers in music videos of upcoming new songs. There will be surprise for all in these songs. I believe everybody will enjoy the songs.”
Minu’s first debut original song was Sei tara bhora raate, which lyric was written by Salauddin Sajal and tune was composed by late Ayub Bachchu. After six years of its releasing, in Ayub Bachchu’s voice the song got huge popularity. But in Minu’s voice the song titled Je batase phul fote, which was used in late Barkat Ullah produced drama Jatiyo Modhuchandrima, got popularity among the viewers. Selim Ashraf composed tune of the song which lyric was written by Nuruzzaman. Rajprasader sukh chaina ami of album Bedonar Baluchore was another popular song rendered by Minu which lyric was written by Ahmed Rizvi and tune was composed by Pranab Ghosh.
In 1996, Minu first lent her voice with Syed Abdul Hadi and Sabina Yasmin in Saidur Rahman Manik’s movie Nawab Ali Haider. Minu got first training in music from Rakhal Nondi Babu of Chattagram. Later, in Dhaka, she received training from Sanjeeb Dey. September 28 is her birthday.
