Mamo for women’s protection in public places

National Film Award winner actress Zakia Bari Mamo has been winning hearts of many TV play and film-lovers by virtue of her acting skill for more than 12 years. In her acting career, she has already established her position. For this reason, she is seen to act in challenging roles. Besides acting, she has also engaged with different social activities. She extended her hands to the helpless people of the society. To create awareness, she also acted in many documentaries. As a part of its continuation, she acted in an exceptional documentary. While moving public places women have to face different types of harassments. How a female can get relief from harassment in public place talented director Abdul Kuddus has made a documentary titled Women’s Protection in Public Places. Mamo acted in the central role in this documentary.
Abdul Kuddus informed that on August 23 he has finished shooting of the documentary in the capital’s different public places. Rifat wrote story of the documentary. While asking him why he took Mamo in the lead role in this documentary Abdul Kuddus said, “Mamo is a talented actress. She is known to me for many days. I found her to do something for the people of the society. For this reason, I took her for the documentary. Mamo acted superb in her role. I believe this documentary will create awareness among the women while using public places. This documentary will go on air in five to six TV channels soon.”
Mamo shared her feelings by this way, “I am a woman. So, I worked in the documentary with keen interest to create awareness among them to use public places. In fact, I have worked in the documentary will full dedication. I think it was my responsibility to work in the documentary. Therefore, it is also an achievement for me. I am lucky to get the opportunity to work in the documentary. I believe males will also come forward after watching this documentary to ensure safety of women in the public places.”
In last Eid, Mamo-starrer three dramas were telecasted in three different channels where her acting was appreciated by the viewers. These dramas were: Anisur Rahman Milon’s Munira Monjil, Sokal Ahmed’s Bokkor Ekhon Banker and Habib Shakil’s Eid-er Diet.
