Eight die in Barishal

In Barishal district 702 persons including doctors, nurses, medical staff, police and other law enforcing agencies were detected as corona positive till Tuesday June 9, 2020. During this period, eight died of corona positive and 117 cured after treatment in the district.
Out of total 702 corona positive patients, 183 were females and 519 were males.
 Among them 42 were below 20 years and rest 541 were between 21-50 years and 120 were above 50 years.
Out of 702 corona-positive victims of the district, 565 were from BCC areas, 13 were from Sadar upazila, 28 from Babuganj, 21 from Wazirpur, 21 from Bakerganj, 11 from Mehendiganj, 10 from Muladi, 10 from Gournadi, 9 from Banaripara, 9 from Agoiljhara and 5 from Hizla. The media cell of the district administration revealed this fact through their web site on Tuesday.
Out of the newly infected 27, there were two members of Barishal Metropolitan Police, three of district police and one of range police, sources said.
Besides one was doctor of Barishal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital, one was staff of Nursing Training College, four were bank officials and one was staff of district accounts office. Among other newly corona infected persons of the district eight were from different areas of Barishal City Corporation, six were from Gournadi, Wazirpur, Mehendiganj upazilas.
S M Aziar Rahman, Deputy Commissioner Barishal, said after receiving positive reports, the areas of newly infected 27 persons also went under lockdown.
