Authorities bring changes in DU ‘Kha’ Unit admission tests

DU Correspondent :Dhaka University authorities have brought some changes in the process of holding DU Kha unit admission tests for 2014-2015 sessions under Faculty of Fine Arts and Social Science scheduled to be held on September 19.Professor Dr Sadrul Amin, Dean of Arts Faculty of the university disclosed this. Accordingly, there will be five parts on the question papers and the admission seekers shall have to answer four of them. These are General English, Bangla, Elective English, General knowledge-A and General knowledge- B.Professor Sadrul Amin said that the Department of English has given a condition to the students seeking admission in English department must have to answer the Elective English part and three others. Guidelines of choosing any four options out of five are given below. 1. Any four including General English and Bangla. 2. Any four including General English and Elective English. 3. Any four including General English, Bangla and Elective English. Besides, students, who had not read Bangla at Higher Secondary level as mother language, were eligible to answer elective English instead of Bangla. However, DU Kha unit admission test under 2014- 2015 session will be held on September 19. This year a total number of 42,417 admission seekers will sit for 2,221 seats. On an average, 20 students will vie for each seat.
