BHF names squad for Jr Asia Cup Hockey

The Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) has named a 24-member squad for the men’s Under-20 Junior Asia Cup Hockey tournament to be held in China in September.

The team will compete under South African Head Coach Giles Bonnet, with the BHF selecting three goalkeepers, eight defenders, six midfielders and seven forwards.

The Junior Asia Cup is also an important qualification tournament for the Under-21 Junior World Cup. Bangladesh will be aiming to secure qualification by producing a strong performance in the Asia Cup in China.

The goalkeepers are Mohammad Mahmud Hasan, Mohammad Raihanul Islam and Mohammad Mehedi Hasan Zinnat.

The defenders are Mohammad Mehedi, Munna Islam, Sumanta Chakma, Mohammad Sabbir Rahman, Mohammad Amit Hasan, Mohammad Shamim Ahmed, Mohammad Tarek Islam and Mohammad Tayyab Ali, who is also listed as a midfielder.

The midfielders are Mohammad Tanvir Rahman Siam, Mohammad Sohrab Hossain Choton, Mohammad Ashraful Alam, Mohammad Shimul Islam, Mohammad Sabbir Hossain Konok and Mohammad Bishal Ahmed.

The forwards are Mohammad Jony Islam, Mohammad Ismail Hossain, Mohammad Abdullah, Mohammad Mahadi Hasan, Mohammad Din Islam, Mohammad Rifat and Mohammad Tawsan Hossain.
