176 tested positive in Barishal Division

Till filing this report on Wednesday May 13, 2020 noon total 176 detected as corona positive in Barishal division since March 10, 2020. Among them 86 cured after getting treatment.
Out of the 176 infected patients 58 were of Barishal, 39 of Barguna, 31 of Patuakhali, 24 of Pirojpur, 16 of Jhalakathi and 8 from Bhola district.
Among the 86 cured patients included 34 of Barishal, 25 of Barguna, 16 of Patuakhali, 5 of Jhalakathi, 4 of Pirojpur, 2 of Bhola got released certificate after cured they were in the division.
Besides, one from Muladi of Barishal, one from Mirzaganj, one from Sadar, one from Dumki of Patuakhali, one from Amtali and one from Betagi of Barguna districts died of corona.
Dr. Basudev Kumar Das, Divisional Health Director, disclosed it on Wednesday.
Divisional health directorate sources added that total 10, 502 persons sent to home quarantine and 710 to institutional quarantine in six districts of the division.
Among them 8,975 completing home quarantine and 612 completing institutional quarantine received release certificates.
Dr. Bakir Hossain, Director Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital, informed that 317 patients were admitted at corona isolation unit of the hospital and among them 200 released after getting treatment from there.
Dr. Manowar Hossain, Barishal District Civil Surgeon, corona case was first detected at Mehendiganj and Bakerganj upazilas of the district. Since then total 58 including 34 male and 24 females were detected as corona-positive in the district and 34 of them cured and getting release certificate returned home till filing this report.
On Tuesday another two including one 20-year old female of Kawnia area in the city and another one male nurse aged about 27 of Wazirpur Health Complex detected as corona-positive.
