SynaptEd presents “Scholastica Interschool Science Carnival 2020”, co-sponsored by Beacon Point and Prime Bank, was organized at the Scholastica Senior Mirpur campus on 13 and 14 this month redefining the standards of a ‘premium’ science carnival in town.
With an estimated participant count exceeding 500 students from over 43 schools in Bangladesh, this has been Scholastica’s biggest science event since its establishment in 1977. The chief guest at the event was Dr Mubarak Ahmad Khan, the leading scientist in the study of jute worldwide. A former student of Scholastica and current SynaptEd CEO, Mohammed Rakib Anam was ecstatic during the Opening Ceremony. Inspired by his mentor, Dimitri Kountourogianni, senior software engineer at Google, Rakib said, “Our curiosity and creativity today will drive the innovation of tomorrow”.
Scholastica Science Club’s founding (and current) President Md ShamsurShafi Nur E Aziz mentioned in his closing remarks, “SISC 2020 marks the establishment of several new benchmarks for Scholastica Science Club but I’m sure we will be back next year to set even more. Our success only pushes us to achieve greater milestones”.
