Indictment hearing against Khaleda, others April 15

A Dhaka court yesterday (Wednesday) set April 15 to hold hearing on charge framing in 11 cases filed for allegedly committing subversive activities by BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and others in Darus-Salam and Jatrabari police station areas.
November 6 of the last year was earlier fixed for hearing in the case, but Khaleda Zia’s counsels pleaded time, saying the proceedings of the cases have been stayed by the High Court Division. Besides, the BNP leader was not produced in the court yesterday.
After the hearing, Judge Imrul Kayes of the
 Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court of Dhaka fixed the new date at his makeshift court set up in the newly-built building at Keraniganj Central Jail.
Besides, Khaleda Zia, other accused persons include BNP leader Aman Ullah Aman, Habib-Un-Nabi Khan Sohel and Sultan Salahuddin Tuku.
