Chamok Tara acts in Padatik’s play today

Country’s one of the popular theatre troupes, Padatik Nattya Sangsad will turn into 43 today. In its long time journey, Padatik produced 41 plays till now. Macbeth, Jonomanko, Kalratri, Mouse Trap, Beder Meye, Gohonjatra, Sojon Badiar Ghat, Maa, Kaler Jatra, Monsar Pala, Chandraboti, Chokkor, Khetmojur Khoimuddin, etc are mentionable plays of Padatik.
To mark the 43rd anniversary of Padatik Nattya Sangsad, the theatre group will stage 26th stage of its play titled Gunjan Bibir Pala today at National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. Chamok Tara has been performing with this group for many days. She has already received huge appreciation to act in different plays of this group. For the first time, she is going to perform in play Gunjan Bibir Pala in country. Earlier, she acted in this play in Kolkata. Sayik Siddiqui gives direction of the play. Chamok took part in rehearsal of the play for last two days.
While talking about acting in this play Chamok Tara said, “My examination will start from tomorrow. But I shall try to perform in my theatre group’s play despite having pressures on me. As I started my acting career through theatre, so when I get any call from them I do not ignore to perform. In Gunjan Bibir Pala, I am going to play the role of Shefali for the first time in country. I took part in rehearsal of the play. Everybody co-operated me during rehearsal.”
Chamok-starrer first TV play was Mohollar Bhai. Her first acted film was Mukul Netrobadi’s Maa Baba Sontan. Her birthday is September 23.
Meanwhile, Chamok Tara-starrer three drama serials are being telecasted in different TV channels now.
