1,253 women, children raped in last ten months

The incidents of sexual violence against women and children have been increasing day by day across the country. Around 1,253 women and children were raped in last 10 months. Most of the victims are under six.
A human chain was organized by Samajtantrik Mohila Forum in front of the Jatiya Press Club on Friday.
Speakers at the program said that the torture, rape and murder of women and children have reached serious stage.
Two years old child to 60 years old women and above are being tortured every day. Torture has reached such a level where female can’t lead a normal life.
Speakers also mentioned about the recent oppression against women in Saudi Arabia, as the return of the dead bodies deeply shocked us.
The human chain was chaired by the organization’s President Rawshan Ara Russo. Among others, General Secretary Shampa Basu, Vice-President Dipali Rani, Organizing Secretary Dilruba Nuri, Members of the Forum Israt Jahan Lipi and Kohinoor Akter were present.
