Charge sheet to be pressed soon: DB

Charge sheet will be pressed soon against one Harun-or-Rashid on charge of murder after raping a minor girl at Wari in Dhaka.
When asked about the motive of killing, Bashir Ahmed, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Detective (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police said that no other reasons were found. It was just a murder after rape due to sexual temptation.
He said, the main accused in the murder of Samia Afrin Saima, 7, after rape in Wari area of the capital, given confessional statements before court.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sarafuzzaman Ansari on Monday (July 8) recorded Harun’s statement and then sent him to jail.

 Inspector Arjun produced him in the court and the magistrate recorded his statement under Section 164.
Earlier on July 7, Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested the main suspect Harun from his native village Dabordanga under Titash thana of Cummila district on the charge of killing seven year-old Samia Akter Saima after rape in Wari The accused Haron also lived in the same building of Bongram area with his brother under Wari Police Station.
Investigation Official of Wari Police Station Mohammad Harun told the New Nation that they at first arrested several persons and interrogated them after analyzing the video footages of the building and nearby buildings. The main suspect was recognized”
Quoting physicians of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Forensic Department, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Assistant Commissioner (AC) Mohammad Samsuzzaman told media that the child was raped before killing.
DMCH Forensic Department Assistant Professor Sohel Mahmud told media Saturday that Samia was raped and strangled to death. Her face carried bite marks.
However, Samia was found dead on a 9-storey vacant flat in Wari around 9pm of July 5. She lived with her family on the sixth floor of the same building.
Later her father Abdus Salam filed a case with Wai Police Station.
Bangladesh Mahila Parishad (BMP) demanded Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s help to stop such atrocities against women and children
BMP demanded severe punishment for the rapist. “The increasing violence against children is making us anxious and disturbed. We seek Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s immediate action to stop such atrocities against women and children, and we demand the immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of Saima’s killerBMP added.”
