Govt takes dengue outbreak as a challenge: Quader

Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Friday called upon all to work together to repel the dengue outbreak as the government has taken it as a challenge.
“Now the dengue situation is a burning question. We are worried about dengue as it now on the trend of rising alarmingly. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, now on an official visit to London, is also worried about the country’s dengue situation,” the minister said.
Inaugurating a procession in front of the Awami League’s Central Office on the Bangabandhu Avenue marking cleanliness campaign to control dengue outbreak, Quader said, the government has taken the dengue outbreak as a challenge.
The AL general secretary said, there is no way to deny that dengue has spread all over the country, he said.
Every branch and every office of the government are examining the medicine used in killing mosquitoes. Works are going on to use effective medicine to this end.
The minister said, there is no scarcity of Medicare facilities as people are receiving treatment round the clock at hospitals.
