Journos, professionals protest National Broadcast Policy

A protest rally of journalists and professionals demanding the cancellation of National Broadcasting Policy-2014 , opening of closed medias and actions against the ministers, leaders of ruling party those have ill impressions against journalists was held at Chittagong CMUJ Hall on Saturday evening.
 Chittagong Metropolitan Union of Journalists (CUJ) arranged the rally . The speakers in the rally accused govt for destroying the mass media as media is publishing the ill work and corruptions of the present govt.
The leaders of the professional bodies rejected the recently approved broadcasting policy and demanded immediate cancellation of the so-called policy . President of CMUJ Shamsul Hoque Haidery presided over it while the general secretary Md. Shahnewaz conducted the session of the rally.
 Among others President of BFUJ Showkat Mahmud, Acting President of Combined Professional Parishad Ruhul Amin Gazi, Secretary general of BFUJ MA Aziz, member of Bar council Advocate Kabir chowdhury, CU teacher Dr. Hasan Mahmud, vice President of BFUJ M Abdullah, Asstt. Secretary General Modabber Hossain, Organising Secretry Shahidul Islam, Publicity Ssecretry Abu Yousuf, BMA leader Dr. Khurshid Jamil Chowdhury , journalist leader Jahidul Karim Kochi, Mostafa Naim, Engr. KM Sufian, Advocate Kafil Uddin chowdhury, SUM Nurul Islam, Engr. Selim, Dr, Isha chowdhury, Dr. Shahdat Hossain, Dr. Abul Kalam Azad and Engr.Abul Kalam spoke on the occasion. BFUJ chief Showkat Mahmud said the present de clared National Broadcasting policy is illegal as the govt occupied the state power illegally and hence the govt is also illegal and they have no rights to enact any policy.
 BFUJ leader Ruhul Amin Gazi said some noted journalists are depending the broadcast policy saying it as the outcome of the demands of the journalists . These specific journalists betrayed the nation through legalizing the present govt activities as well they betrayed the Sagar-Runi murder.
