Seminar on ‘building militancy, drug free society’ at DU
Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Advocate Fazle Rabbi Mia, MP hands over Lifetime Achievement Award of Bangladesh Chhatra Kalyan Trust to Dr Faras Uddin Ahmed, Former Governor of Bangladesh Bank and Chief Adviser of East West University at a seminar held
Bangladesh Chhatra Kalyan Trust organized a national seminar on “Role of students-teachers-guardians-civil society and mass media to build a terrorism, militancy and drug free society” at Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University on Tuesday. Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Advocate Fazle Rabbi Mia, MP was present at the seminar as the chief guest. Former Governor of Bangladesh Bank and Chief Adviser OF East West University Dr Faras Uddin Ahmed, Prof Dr Md. Alauddin, Vice Chancellor, Maolana Vashani Science and Technology University, Prof Dr Kamal Uddin Ahmed, Vice Chancellor Sher e Bangla Agricultural University and Prof Dr A B M Rashedul Hasan, Vice Chancellor , Exim Bank Agricultural University were present as the special guests.
Executive Director of Bangladesh Chhatra Kalyan Trust and 8 No. Sector Commander of Liberation War Lt. Col (Retd.) Abu Osman Chowdhury presided over the seminar. Moderated by Nure Alam Talukder, CEO of the Trust the seminar was also addressed by Abdul Mannan, Deputy Chief of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit of Bangladesh Police.
Former Governor of Bangladesh Bank and Chief Adviser of East West University Dr Faras Uddin Ahmed and Monirul Islam, Chief of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit of Bangladesh Police were awarded Lifetime Achievement for their outstanding contribution in the society.
