23 Shibirmen held in Jashore

The police picked up a total of 23 Islami Chhatra Shibir activists from a madrasa at Monirampur in Jashore while they were at a meeting marking the forthcoming Holy Ramzan, police and local sources said.
They were picked up from Hayatpur- Shahpur Hafizia Madrasa after Juma prayers while they were at a meeting, said SM Enamul Haque, Officer in-Charge, Investigation, Monirampur Police Station.
Maulana Liakat Ali, ameer, Jamaat- e- Islami, Monirampur upazila unit told journalists that police carrying out raid while the Shibir men were at a meeting marking the forthcoming Holy Ramzan.
