Women’s football team leaves for Nepal today
The Bangladesh national women’s football team leaves for Nepal today morning to take part in the SAFF Women’s Championship scheduled to be held from March 12-22 in Biratnagar, Nepal.
Bangladesh have been pitted in group-A along with host Nepal and Bhutan while the group-B consist with defending champions India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
Bangladesh will start their tournament campaign taking on Bhutan on March 14 and play their group last match against host Nepal on March 16.
After the group phase matches, the top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals scheduled to be held on March 20 while the final is slated on March 22.
All the matches will be held at Shahid Rangashala Stadium.
