Three lessons from Alexander
All over the world there are many people who will do anything to accumulate wealth. It may be heinous but greed makes them blind and they become obsessed. To clarify this I want to put up the Three Final Wishes of Alexander the Great, He was a great Greek King .As a military commander, he was undefeated and most successful throughout history.
Alexander said, “My first wish is to have my physician to bring my coffin home alone, my second wish to scatter gold, silver and gems from my treasure house along the path to the grave, my final wish is to put my hands outside the coffin.”
When asked why he wanted it this way, Alexander replied, “I want everyone to understand three lessons, physicians cannot really cure people when they are facing death. My second wish is to tell people not to be like me in pursuing wealth. My third wish is to let people understand that I came to this world in empty hands and I will leave this world also in empty hands.”
Alexander the Great died at the age of 33, but in that short span of life he understood the real meaning of life and hoped that others will also understand.
