11 more killed in road crashes

At least 12 more persons including a rights activist were killed and 60 others critically injured in separate road accidents of the country on Saturday.
In Khagrachhari, at least two workers were killed when a tractor overturned in Lakshmichhari upazila of the district on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Meracha Marma, 35, son of Moulang Marma from Lakshmichhari upazila and Prabhat Chakma, 30, son of Samro Chakma.
Khorshed Alam, Sub-Inspector of Lakshmichhari Police Station said.
In Tangail, at least two passengers of a microbus were killed when another vehicls rammed in Hatia area of Kalihati upazila of the district at 2:30am on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Syed Shahjamal, 42, General Secretary of Chapainawabganj unit of Bangladesh Manobadhikar Commission, and the microbus driver Mosharaf Hossain Musa, 35.
In Dhamrai, at least two persons were killed and 20 others injured after two
buses collided head-on on the Dhaka-Aricha highway in Dhamrai upazila of Dhaka this afternoon.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Dipok Saha, Officer-in-Charge of Dhamrai Police Station confirmed the matter to media.
In Chattogram, at least two motorcyclists including father and son were killed when a covered van struck the bike in Dobormoring upazila of the district on Friday midnight.
Jahir Hossain, Sub-Inspector of Dobormoring police confirmed the news.
 In Kurigram, a minor girl named Tabassum Toba, 6, was killed when a Auto-rickshwa rammed her in Olipur of the district on Saturday.
Anowarul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Olipur Police said.
In Rajbari, an assistant of truck named Razu Sheikh, 35, was killed when another truck hit him in Sadar upazila of the district on Saturday morning.
Shawkat Ali, Deputy Director of district Fire Service confirmed the matter to media.
In Faridpur, at least 30 persons were seriously injured when a bus overturned in Nagarkandha upazila of the district on Saturday noon.
