Priyanka reveals why mother Madhu was upset at her wedding
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are happily enjoying their newly married life. The couple often shares adorable pictures on social media and just leave us gushing a lot more about them each time. Fondly called National Jeeju by all PC fans, Nick Jonas’ love for Priyanka is the stuff of fairy-tales. The duo tied the knot in an opulent wedding ceremony in Jodhpur in the presence of their families and close friends. But in all the fun and madness, did you know it was Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra, who was upset with the diva.
Sharing the incidence on an international chat show, the 36-year-old actress revealed, “It was just three days! One Indian ceremony and one western Christian ceremony, and one day of pre-rituals – which we have in the Hindu wedding. But it was not, like … usually Indian weddings are a thousand people, at least. We only had 200, which was mostly family because both of us have giant families.” Priyanka smiled and revealed, “My mother was so upset with me the whole time. She was like, ‘I need to have another wedding for the other 150,000 people that I know! How can I not invite my jeweller? How can I not invite my hairdresser?’ So it was a whole conversation…”
