8 more killed in road crashes

At least eight more persons were killed and several others injured in separate road crashes across the country on Wednesday.
In Tangail, aged spouses were killed when a truck rammed an auto-rickshaw at Toildhara Bathabari intersection of Sakhipur upazila in Tangail.
Three others were critically injured in the incident.
The incident took place on the Sakhipur-Gopinpur Road around 2.30 pm .
The deceased were identified as Motiur Rahman, 85, retired Headmaster of a Government Primary School,and his wife Asisa Khatun, 75.
They were from Adani-Bhuiyid village of the upazila.
Amir Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Sakhipur Police Station confirmed the news to media.
In Sirajganj, a minor boy named Sumit Das (4) was killed when an Autovan rammed him in Belkuchi of the district.
The accident occurred in front of Upazila Livestock Hospital on the Chala-Khadirmatia Regional Road on Wednesday noon.
Sumit Das was the son of Sumon Das of Challha Mahalla.
Anwarul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC)of Belkuchi Police Station told the news to media.
In Natore, a woman named Mamtaz Begum (50) was killed when bus hit her in Natore.
The accident occured on Wednesday (November 14th) on the Natore-Rajshahi Highway in Chandpur area.
The deceased was identified as Mamtaj Begum, wife of Nurul Islam of Kuriyapara village under Sadar upazila.
Mostafizur Rahman, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Rajshahi Poba Highway Police Outpost said it.
In Gopalganj, a farmer died when a motorcycle rammed him in Gopalganj Sadar upazila on Wednesday.
The deceased Monoj Poddar, 40, was the son of Monimahan, an inhabitant of Tetulia village. Monirul Islam, Office in Charge (OC) of Gopalganj Sadar Police Station said that a motorbike hit Monoj on the Gopalganj-Tekerhat Road while he was returning home, leaving him dead on the spot.
In Jhenaidah, an unidentified woman (45) was killed in a road accident when a bus rammed her in Kaliganj of the district.
The accident took place at Keyabagan in the upazila.
Kaliganj Fire Service Station Officer Shamsul Islam confirmed the news to media.
In Madaripur, a pedestrian was killed in a road accident when a bus struck him at Amgram under Rajair upazila of the district.
The accident occured on Wednesday when he was crossing the road on the Dhaka-Barisal Highway.
The deceased was identified as Sajib, 35, son of Monnath Matubbar of Sutarkandi area under Rajair upazila.
Officer-in-charge of Rajoir Police Station Ziaul Morshed told the matter to media.In Gazipur, A motorcyclist named Shahed, 16, was killed when a Lori rammed at Bothtala area in Kaliganj upazila of the district. The deceased was the son of Shaheen Miah of Jangalia area and also was a student of local Madrasha. The accident occurred at noon. Kaliganj Police Station Sub-inspector (SI) Moshiur Rahman told news to media.
