Former Sri Lankan all-rounder charged with match-fixing

Sri Lankan cricket is already going through a huge crisis on the cricketing field with a string of poor performances from their national side.
And now they have been hit with another blow as their former cricketer Dilhara Lokuhettige has been charged for match-fixing in the 2017’s T10 League which was played in the United Arab Emirates.
Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) are behind all this fuss as they formed the Designated Anti-Corruption Official committee who filed charges for the purposes of the ECB’s Code. International Cricket Council confirmed all the charges on Lokuhettige. On the behalf on ECB, they charged the former Sri Lankan all-rounder.
Though his international career was too short, still he represented his country and his horrendous actions have caused great damage to the Sri Lankan Cricket. Dilhara played just 2 T20 Internationals and 9 One day Internationals for Sri Lanka.
The three charges are “being party to an effort to fix or contrive or to otherwise influence improperly the result, progress, conduct, or another aspect (s) of a Domestic Match. The second charge deals with “Directly soliciting, inducing, enticing or encouraging a player to breach Code Article.”
