Six more killed in road crashes

At least 6 more persons were killed and several others injured in separate road crashes across the country on Sunday.
In Rajshahi, two persons including a driver were killed when a private car turned turtle at Bhangura area in Belpukur Upazila of Rajshahi district on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Niamat Ali, 56, from Chapainawabganj district sadar and Abdul Mannan, 58, hailed from Norshodpur village under Adamdighi of Bogura.
Belpukur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Golam Mostofa told the media that the two died on the spot as the car fell into a roadside ditch after losing control en route to Dhaka, around 8:45am.
Police recovered the bodies and sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) morgue.
In Sylhet, two persons were killed and several others injured when a speedy bus plunged into a roadside ditch after losing control on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway in Osmaninagar upazila of Sylhet.
The deceased, both passengers of the bus, couldn’t be identified instantly.
The accident took place around 1am Sunday.
On local people sources, the duo died on the spot as a bus of Ena Paribahan had lost control and fell into the ditch in Unish Mile area of Osmaninagar.
Osmaninagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) SM Al Mamun confirmed the matter to media.
In Meherpur, one led maker named Rashiduzzaman (17) was killed in a confrontation clash between two motorcycles in Chhatian Haorapara area of Gangni upazila of Meherpur district.
The incident took place on the Meherpur-Kushtia road on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased Rasheduzzaman was the son of Shahabul Islam. Haorapara area.
Officer-in-Charge of Gangni Police Station, Harendranath Sarker told the news media.
In Narayanganj, a housewife named Parveen Begum, 45, was killed in a road accident at Noyagaon Union in Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj district.
The accident occurred on Sunday in Charpara village around 9 am.
Parvin was the wife of Mohiuddin in the village of North Kazipara (Jumbarari) of the upazila.
Kachpur Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Qayum Ali Sardar confirmed the news media.
