Women’s team draw in 6th round in Chess Olympiad

Bangladesh open and women’s team drew their 6th round matches in open section and women’s section of the 43rd World Chess Olympiad now being held at Sports Place in Batumi in Georgia.
In the 6th round matches of both sections were held Sunday, Bangladesh open team drew with Chile by 2-2 games points and Bangladesh women’s team drew with Jamaica by 2-2 games points.
In 6th round games of open section, FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman (Rating-2263) beat IM Salinas Herrera Pablo (Rating-2486) of Chile, GM Mollah Abdullah Al Rakib (Rating-2472) drew with GM Morovic Fernandez Ivan (Rating-2501) of Chile, GM Enamul Hossain Razib (Rating-2452) drew with IM Garcia Cardenas Pablo (Rating-2444) of Chile and GM Ziaur Rahman (Rating-2477) lost to GM Henriquez Villagra, Cristobal (Rating-2519) of Chile.
Bangladesh team earned 8 points out 6 matches in open section. In the women’s section, WIM Rani Hamid beat CM Miller Rachel (Rating-1859) of Jamaica.
WIM Shamima Akter Liza (Rating-2152) drew with Gray Krishna (Rating-1691), WFM Zakia Sultana (Rating-1838) drew with Williams Margoe (Rating-1617) and WFM Tanima Parveen (Rating-2022) lost to WCM Barrett Ariel (Rating-2064). Bangladesh woman’s team earned 7 points after 6th round matches.
