National Workers Federation
A rally organised by National Workers Federation was held in front of the National Press Club in the city on Tuesday. In the rally the speakers demanded payment of arrear salaries and festival bonus of all workers of the government and non-government organisations before Eid-ul-Fitr. The speakers called upon the owners of garment industries to fix bonus for the employees as equivalent to one-month salary and stopping retrenchments of the garments workers whimsically. General Secretary of the Federation Amirul Haque Amin and President of Bangla Garments Sramik Federation Kazi Mohammad Ali addressed, among others, with Acting President of the Federation SM Zakaria in the chair.
