30 rivers register rise, 46 fall
Water levels in 30 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 46 stations recorded fall.
Among the 83 monitored water level stations, five river stations have been registered steady while one is flowing above their respective danger marks, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Saturday.
The Kansha at Jaraijanjail is flowing above its respective danger level by 96 cm.
The Brahmaputra-Jamuna and the Meghna are in falling trend while the Ganges-Padma are in rising trend.
Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am on Saturday.
A total of 35 mm were recorded at Khulna and 24.2 mm at Dinajpur.
