Bangladesh in Group-B of Hockey Competition of Asian Games

Bangladesh, Indonesia, Oman, Pakistan, Malaysia, Thailand have been billed in Group-B of the Hockey Competition of the Asian Games scheduled to be held in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia from August 19 to September 1.
India, South Korea, Japan, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong have been placed in Group-A.
Bangladesh will face Oman on August 20, Bangladesh will take on Indonesia on August 22, Bangladesh will face Malaysia on August 24, Bangladesh will play against Thailand on August 26, Bangladesh will meet Pakistan on August 28.
Head Coach of Bangladesh National Hockey team Gobinathan Krishnamurthy said, ” We want to show our own performance. If we can perform that, we can present better brand of hockey than selection phase. We want to beat those teams, which have taken the bottom place than us according to ranking. We want to fight against those teams, which have taken upper position than us. We have to play with a fighting spirit in the competition.”
