BKSP Red team beat Delhi Hockey team by 10 goals to nil in the opening match of the 6th Invitational International BKSP Cup (Under-18) Hockey Competition at the BKSP Hockey Turf in Savar on Thursday. In the day’s other matches, Ajax Sporting Club defeated Kolkata Hockey team by 4-2 goals and BKSP Green team overcame Sri Lanka Hockey team by eight goals to nil.
Earlier, Director General of BKSP Brigadier General Md Shamsur Rahman inaugurated the hockey competition. Director (Administration & Finance) of BKSP Hawladar Md Rakibul Bari and other high officials of BKSP were present at the time.
A total of seven teams are taking part in the six-day long hockey meet. They are: BKSP Red team, BKSP Green team, Dinajpur Hockey team, Ajax Sporting Club, Delhi Hockey team of India, Kolkata Hockey team of India and Sri Lanka Hockey team.
The final will be held on July 3.
