Central Eid Jamat committee meet today

Annual general meeting and Iftar Mahfil of Chattogram Central Eid Jamat Committee will be held at Chattogram circuit house auditorium on Thursday.
The daylong program include seminar, discussions on Badar day, Islamic cultural program, Kirat, Naat, Ajan competition, distribution of clothes among orphans and Iftar Mahfil. Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram Md Elias Hossan will preside in it. Secretary General of Eid Jamat Committee Principal Dr Abdul Karim has requested all concerned to attend the function in due time, sources said.
World Environment Day observed : The Directorate of Environment (DoE), Chattogram yesterday observed the World Environment Day with various programs including a discussion meeting.
In observance of the day, DoE held a discussion meeting on the day’s theme “Do not reuse plastic waste, if possible shun it” at Hall 24 auditorium thisafternoon. DoE director Azadur Rahman Mallik presided over the meeting while Divisional Commissioner of Chattogram Abdul Mannan attended the meeting as the chief guest, Mohammad Jafar Alam, member (Admin and planning) of Chittagong Port Authority, Dr Shahdat Hossain, of the Institute of Marine Science and Fisheries of Chattogram University and additional Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram Habibur Rahman, among others, participated in the discussion.
