Mobile court fines 5 business firms

Mobile court in Chittagong convicted five business institutions including popular sweatmeet manufacturer Bose brothers with Tk.40 thousands on Wednesday.
 These traders were fined for selling the food items in a unhygienic condtions and time expired products. District administration Executive Magistrate Anisul Islam led the mobile court.
 On the same day, mobile court also fined four traders in pahartali bazaar for not exhibiting the price list of the commodities infornt of his shops. These shops are Roksana store, M/s. Masum Billah, M/s. Ahad Hossain and M/s. Jasimuddin. Disciplinary actions will be taken against the Bose Brothers under Food adulteration Act of 1959 , se ction 44 and others four will be sued under Consumers Rights Act, section 38 , sources said. The anti-adulteration mobile court drive will continue during Ramadan month, sources added. The ,mobile court consists of officials of BSTI, CAB and chamber officials accompanied by police forces, sources said.
