Corruption Prevention Week begins

On the occasion of the celebration of the Corruption Prevention Week-2018, a rally was brought out with the slogan “Stop the speed of corruption,” in the conference room at Moheshkhali Upazila on Wednesday.
Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee Dr. Nurul Amin presided over the meeting and General Secretary Bir Freedom Fighter Dr. Mohammad Firoz Khan was Chief Guest at the meeting.
UNO Abul Kalam, was present as special guest.
Among others , Vice President Prof. Ziaur Rahaman, Mahfuzul Haque, the freedom fighter commander Amjad Hossain, freedom fighter Kala Mia, senior journalist M Ramjan Ali were present on the occasion.
Another reports adds: Different programmes to mark the ongoing Corruption Prevention Week-2018 were held here on Wednesday.
District Corruption Prevention Committee with the help of district administration and anti-corruption office arranged the programmes.
A meeting was held at the conference room of Deputy Commissioner where Additional DC SM Shafi Kamal was present as chief guest while President of District Corruption Prevention Committee Maidhon Chakma presided over the event.
Among others, Additional District Magistrate Md Nazrul Islam and Deputy Director of Anti-Corruption Commission Shafiqur Rahman Bhuiyan also spoke at the meeting.
A human chain was also held in front of DC office on the occasion.
Earlier, a colourful rally led by DC AKM Mamunur Rashid was brought out in the town.
