DSE announces trading time for Ramzan

Trading at Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) will begin at 10:30 am and end at 1:30 pm during the Ramzan, a DSE press release says. According to the release, DSE office will open at 9:30 am and will close at 4 pm.
Normal timetable will be resumed once the Ramadan and Eid-Ul-Fitr holidays are over.
Currently, DSE opens at 9:30 am and closes at 5:30 pm. On the other hand, trading starts at 10:30 am and ends at 2:30 pm. Indices at the stock markets went up on Monday.
At the end of the day general index at Dhaka Stock Exchange rose to around 4,368 points, upped by 46 points. Tk 2.93 billion worth of share were traded, Tk 700 million higher than the previous day’s trading.
In Chittagong Stock Exchange, CSE index stood at 8347 points, rising by 112 points. On Monday,Tk 250 million worth of shares were traded, Tk 80 million higher than previous day’s trading.
In DSE , among the traded shares, prices of stock of 173 companies went up while that of 87 went down. 36 companies’ stock price remained unchanged.
Top 10 traded companies include GrameenPhone, Lafarge Surma Cement, BSCCL, ACIBeximco, Square Pharma, UCBL, BSRM Steel, South East Bank and Meghna Petrolium.
