BOA to observe Olympic Day Run tomorrow

Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) will observe the Olympic Day-2014 in the capital and six other divisional headquarters tomorrow (Saturday) as part of the IOC’s global program to popularize the Olympic movement.
Bangladesh Army chief and BOA president general Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan is expected to present in the Day Run program as chief guest.
This time BOA will celebrate the Day Run on Saturday instead of schedule date of June 23 due to working day as per approval of International Olympic Committee (IOC).
BOA vice president and Day Run convener, media and publicity sub committee of Day Run Mijanur Rahman Manu disclosed the details at a press conference at the BOA conference room on Thursday afternoon.
BOA deputy general secretary and chairman of Day Run Committee Ashikur Rahman Miku, Kazi Rajib Uddin Ahmed Chapal, BOA treasurer and vice chairman of Day Run celebration committee, were, among others, present on the occasion.
The Olympic Day run will start from Ramna Tennis Complex at 7 am and terminate at the Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS) VIP gate after passing through Matsa Bhaban, Shikkha Bhaban and Abdul Gani road.
Participation in the Olympic Day Run remains open to all sports-loving people.
The budget of Day Run has been fixed at Taka 11,98,000.
