Chittagong Bureau :
Senior journalist and a member of Chittagong Press Club (CPC) Pulak Sakar died of a heart attack at Chittagong Medical College Hospital .
He was 48 .
He left behind his wife, a daughter, a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Pulak was cremated at his native village Khalipur under Banshkhali Upazila of the district on Thursday night.
Meanwhile, acting president of Chittagong Union of Journalists (CUJ) Ratan Kanti Devasish and General Secretary (GS) Mohammad Ali, Chittagong Press Club president Kalim Sarwar and GS Shuklal Das, CPC Joint Secretary Chowdhury Farid, Vice President of the Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Shahidul Alam, Joint Secretary General Tapan Chakrabarty, BFUJ executive members- Asif Siraz, Nowsher Ali Khan, Vice President of Chittagong Journalists Cooperatives Housing Society Samir Kanti Barua and leaders of Chittagong Photo Journalists Association, in separate messages, expressed deep condolence at the death of CPC member Pulak.
Journalist community of Chittagong prayed for salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
