Fire at Hazaribagh leather factory

A fire broke out at a leather factory at Hazaribagh in the capital on Thursday noon. Fire Services officials said the fire erupted in a bathroom of Chowdhury Leather Factory on the fourth floor of the 5-storeyed building at about 12:25 pm and it soon engulfed entire floor.
On information, two fire fighting units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze after half an hour’s efforts.
The cause of the fire could not be known immediately. The extent of losses has not been officially assessed yet.
